12 January 2016 Luxembourg Parliament approves 2016 tax measures In December 2015, the Luxembourg Parliament approved several draft laws that amended the tax legislation for the year 2016 in important areas such as net wealth tax, the intellectual property regime and the participation exemption. In his speech to the members of Parliament, the Minister of Finance emphasized the need to adapt to a new tax environment where key considerations are transparency and exchange of information, as well as the alignment of taxation with economic substance and value creation.
