Hong Kong and Russia sign income tax treaty

Hong Kong and Russia signed an income tax treaty (Treaty) on January 18. The Treaty contains several favorable provisions which are expected to facilitate closer economic and trade ties between the countries. The Treaty will enter into force upon completion of the ratification procedures and become effective April 1 for Hong Kong and January 1 for Russia following the calendar year in which the Treaty enters into force.
