05 February 2016 South African Revenue Service issues revised reportable arrangement list with wider scope for reporting inbound services The South African Revenue Service (SARS) on February 3 published a list of revised reportable arrangements. The revised list applies with effect from the date of publication. Reportable arrangements are generally arrangements perceived by SARS to have characteristics that may lead to undue tax benefits; and the reporting is intended to give SARS advance notice of the arrangements. Past experience has indicated an increase in SARS' audits of reportable arrangements. A Tax Alert prepared by Ernst & Young South Africa, and attached below, provides additional details.
