New Zealand citizens seeking permanent Tasman Sea crossing from July 1, 2017 may be caught in tax data matching net

A new streamlined visa pathway for Australian permanent residence in the Skilled Independent visa category will be available to certain New Zealand citizens from July 1, 2017. This new visa pathway will be a simpler and somewhat more cost effective option for New Zealand citizens and their families compared to existing visa options, including the subclass 186 visa under the employer nomination scheme.
