03 June 2016 South African Revenue Service issues 2016 year of assessment notice The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has issued Notice 671 in Government Gazette 400041 calling for the furnishing of income tax returns for the 2016 year of assessment. It is imperative that nonresidents familiarize themselves with the administrative requirements when deriving cross-border income in order to mitigate any potential non-compliance penalties, including potential criminal sanctions.
