UAE and United Kingdom sign Income Tax Treaty

The income tax treaty between the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island was signed on April 12. The treaty partner countries will commence their ratification process and relevant procedures prior to the Treaty entering into force. Pursuant to the Treaty, the Treaty will enter into force on the later of the dates on which the UAE or the UK notifies each other of the completion of the procedures (exchange of notes) and will be effective on or after the first day of January of the calendar year following the year in which the Treaty enters into force.
