Saudi Arabia delays implementation of third phase of Nitaqat "Saudization" program

Saudi Arabia has announced plans to change a key program designed to increase the number of Saudis employed in the private sector, particularly in the technical and industrial fields. Part of a broad policy agenda known as "Saudization", the revised system which is known as the "Balanced Nitaqat" has been announced in a report titled "Saudi Vision 2030." This report sets out a program of reforms designed to place more emphasis on job performance, wean the economy away from dependence on oil, and to privatize some state assets.
