Cyprus and India negotiate new double tax treaty

The Cypriot Ministry of Finance announced the successful completion of the negotiation on the Double Taxation Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion on June 29, with respect to Taxes on Income between Cyprus and India (The Treaty). The completion of the negotiation and the agreement reached on all pending issues will pave the way for the removal of Cyprus from India's list of notified jurisdictional areas (Cyprus was placed on the list in November 2013).
