Uganda revises procedures on issuance of certificates of origin

Uganda's Ministry of Finance issued a directive, with effect from July 1, instructing that the Uganda Revenue Authority (the URA) will manage the issuance of Preferential Certificates of Origin from the Uganda Exports Promotion Board (the UEPB). The main point of contact will be the International Affairs Desk, Customs Department — URA. Issuance, however, will be decentralized over time to the URA regional offices to improve access to these certificates.
