Canada's Electronic Travel Authorization leniency period ending November 9

The Canadian Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) system's leniency period will end on November 9. After that date, visa-exempt foreign nationals, except for citizens of the United States, will need to have a valid eTA to travel to Canada by air. Travelers without a valid eTA will not be permitted to board the aircraft. U.S. citizens do not require an eTA and can continue to travel to Canada without regard to this new requirement for other visa-exempt foreign nationals.

A Tax Alert prepared by EY Law LLP, and attached below, provides additional details.
