Poland publishes draft bill amending rules for CIT exemption of investment funds

A group of members of Poland's Parliament (MPs) presented the first draft bill on October 31, amending rules for the corporate income tax (CIT) exemption of investment funds. According to the bill, close-ended investment funds (FIZ) will no longer be exempt, while open-ended investment funds (FIO), special open-ended investment funds (SFIO) and similar foreign investment funds will still be exempt but only on certain types of passive income.

A Tax Alert prepared by Ernst & Young Poland, and attached below, provides additional details.
