Temporary special authorization available for dual citizens returning to Canada after eTA leniency period ends

Dual Canadian citizens traveling to Canada by air after the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) system's leniency period ends on November 9 will need a valid Canadian passport. Certain dual citizens without a valid passport may be eligible to apply for a special authorization to board their flights for urgent travel to Canada.
