15 November 2016 French Ministry of Interior confirms further details of changes to immigration regulations The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that work authorization applications previously submitted to the French labor authority, which have not received approval before November 1, will be exempt from prior work authorization. The announcement comes following the implementation of new measures that abolished the need for prior work authorization for certain immigration categories. The responsibility for reviewing applications has been transferred from the labor authorities to the French Consulates, who are now the first point of contact and sole decision makers for applications under these categories.
