22 November 2016 Treaty to avoid double taxation between Uruguay and United Kingdom enters into force On 14 November 2016, the Double Taxation Treaty between Uruguay and United Kingdom entered into force. The agreement was signed on 24 February 2016. The treaty will apply to taxes withheld, amounts paid or credited, as of the first day of the second month following its entry into force. For the remaining taxes the treaty will apply to tax periods beginning 1 January 2017.
