02 December 2016 Australia's proposed Diverted Profits Tax to affect many multinational businesses Many multinational businesses will be affected by the proposed Australian Diverted Profits Tax (DPT) set out in the Exposure Draft (ED) issued by the Government on November 29, for comment by December 23. Introduction of a Bill into Parliament is anticipated in early 2017. The DPT is to apply in respect of income years commencing on or after July 1, 2017.
