29 December 2016 Korea enacts 2017 tax reform bill Korea enacted the 2017 tax reform bill (the 2017 Tax Reform) on December 20, after it was passed by Korea's National Assembly on December 2. The 2017 Tax Reform aims to stimulate the domestic economy, achieve fair taxation, and rationalize the tax system. The Enforcement Decrees, which provide more specific guidance to the laws, are expected to be promulgated in February 2017.
