Nunavut budget 2017-2018 discussed

Nunavut Finance Minister Keith Peterson tabled the territory's fiscal 2017-18 budget on February 22. The budget contains no new taxes and no tax increases. The minister proposes operating expenditures of $1.92 billion and forecasts revenues of $1.98 billion. After supplementary reserve requirements, the budget projects an operating surplus of $22.7 million for 2017-18, and a core planning surplus of $2.1 million for 2017-18.
