Hungary's changes in advertising tax discussed

Amendments to the Act on Advertising Tax have been adopted by the Hungarian Parliament. The amendments are based on a decision made by the European Commission in 2016, which established that the Act on Advertising Tax violates the EU’s regulations on state aid in several ways and amounts to illegal state aid for certain taxpayers.
