06 September 2017 Decisions on must-pass items and tax reform await Congress As Congress returns from its August recess, the Trump Administration and congressional Republicans aspire to make the decisions needed to get a tax reform plan moving through the legislative process. At the same time, they must also make decisions on must-do items, such as authorizing funds for hurricane relief and general government spending, increasing the debt limit, and reauthorizing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
