Russia's draft law on introduction of requirements relating to international automatic exchange of financial account information passes in first reading

Draft Law No. 231414-7, concerning the introduction of amendments to the tax code of the Russian Federation in connection with the implementation of the international automatic exchange of financial account information and documentation relating to multinational groups, was passed by the State Duma in the first reading on September 20. Adjustments to the draft law are to be sent by October 19. If the draft law is passed, the proposed amendments will enter into force from January 1, 2018.
