Russia set to introduce tax-free system regarding VAT

The State Duma in the third reading passed a draft law on the introduction of a tax-free system in Russia under which citizens of countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union ("foreign purchasers") will be able to claim back value added tax (VAT) on goods purchased in Russia. Provided that the law is approved by the Federation Council and signed by the President, this tax-free system will begin operating in Russia in 2018.
