Tax bill conference open meeting set for Wednesday, December 13

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) announced that the "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act" (H.R. 1) House-Senate Conference will hold an open meeting on Wednesday, December 13 at 2 p.m.

"Our open meeting will be an opportunity for the conferees to discuss our best, most pro-growth tax reform ideas that will help improve the lives of all Americans," Chairman Brady said in a press release, which is attached. "We are committed to delivering the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act to the President's desk this year and fulfilling our promise to people across our country."

Both the House and Senate voted to go to conference on the bill this week, and leaders from both parties announced conferees. For a list of conferees, see Tax Alert 2017-2075.
