UK fulfilment house due diligence scheme for imports commences April 1

As part of the United Kingdom (UK) Government's targeted campaign to crack down on tax evasion, a new due diligence scheme for UK fulfilment houses handling goods imported from outside the European Union (EU) is due to commence on April 1. The draft legislation within the Finance Bill 2017 sets out the requirements for having adequate record-keeping procedures and due diligence in place to comply with the requirements of this new scheme.
