Yukon budget 2018-19 discussed

Yukon Premier and Finance Minister Sandy Silver tabled the territory's fiscal 2018-19 budget on March 1. The budget contains no new taxes and no tax increases. The Minister anticipates a surplus of $6.3m for 2017-18, but projects deficits of $4.5m for 2018-19 and $6.9m for 2019-20. Return to a surplus is expected for 2020-21.
