UK issues Spring Statement and associated documents

In his speech of March 13, the United Kingdom (UK) Chancellor confirmed his plans that major tax or spending changes would now be made only once a year — at the Budget in the Autumn. The Spring Statement is intended to: (i) Give an update on the overall health of the economy and the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) forecasts; (ii) Provide an assessment on progress made since Autumn Budget 2017; (iii) Launch further tax consultations for discussion over the summer.
