27 March 2018 European Union publishes commitment letter on taxation received from Panama On March 12, 2018, the European Union published a compilation of commitment letters1 on taxation received from various jurisdictions, including Panama.2 Panama stated in its letter that it is committed to amending its call center regime before December 31, 2018. The expected changes consist of eliminating the "ring-fencing" features contained in the regime. 2 Other jurisdictions published on the same date are the following: Guernsey, Isle of Man, Morocco, New Caledonia, Qatar, Serbia, Tunisia, Uruguay, Aruba, Belize, Cook Islands, Jersey, Mauritius, San Marino, Greenland, Albania, Faroe Islands, Macedonia, Liechtenstein, Nauru, Oman, Peru, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
