26 July 2018 Social security agreement between Japan and the Philippines comes into effect A Social Security Agreement between Japan and the Philippines will enter into force with effect from August 1. Under the Agreement, international assignees seconded between the two countries can remain covered and be exempted from certain social security contributions in the host country.
