02 January 2019 Iowa revised 2019 SUI tax rate notices reissued due to error; electronic version is correct The Iowa Department of Workforce Development reports that revised 2019 state unemployment insurance (SUI) tax rate notices were issued to approximately 60% of the state's employers due to a "data format issue" that occurred at the Department's vendor. However, the original 2019 notice posted to employers' electronic accounts in My Iowa UI were correct. (Telephone conversation, tax representative, December 13, 2018.) Employers may protest incorrect employer-specific information on the revised notice by January 8, 2019. Employers that did receive a revised paper notice by December 22, 2018 should compare the information on the original notice dated November 30, 2018 with the electronic version. If the original paper notice does not match the electronic version, contact the Department phone at +1 888 848 7442 or send an email to IWDuitax@iwd.iowa.gov to request a revised notice be issued.
