Wisconsin Forms W-2 and 1099 deadline extended to February 4, 2019

The Wisconsin Department of Revenue announced that due to severe winter weather, the January 31, 2019 business deadline has been extended to February 4, 2019. This includes the filing of calendar year 2018 Forms WT-7, Employers Annual Reconciliation of Wisconsin Income Tax Withheld, W-2 and 1099 (Department website and email transmission, January 31, 2019.)

Employers filing 10 or more calendar year 2018 Forms W-2 must file electronically?

An employer or payer required to file 10 or more Forms W-2 or 10 or more of any one type information return (i.e., Form 1099) with the Department must file such returns electronically. The prior threshold was 50 or more. (EY Payroll Newsflashes Vol. 18, #201, 12-1-2017; Vol. 19, #192, 12-3-2018.)?
