Costa Rica's General Customs Directorate publishes draft amendments to Article 457 of the General Customs Law regulations

The draft amendments would modify Article 457 of the General Customs Law regulations, which addresses how long commercial trucks and other vehicles that transport imported goods may remain in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica's General Customs Directorate published draft amendments to Article 457 of the General Customs Law regulations for public comment. Specifically, the amendments would modify Articles 457 and 457 bis, and add 457 ter to the regulations. This article regulates the length of time commercial trucks and other vehicles that transport imported goods may stay in Costa Rica.

Comments must be submitted within 10 business days, counted from October 28, 2019, to the following email addresses: aguirrega@hacienda.go.cr, arguedascm@hacienda.go.cr and corralessm@hacienda.go.cr
