23 December 2019 Argentine tax reform bill heads to Congress The Argentine Executive Power recently sent a tax reform bill to the House of Representatives for consideration. The bill would modify the income tax, personal assets tax and rules around the tax on debits and credits in local bank accounts, among other things. Enactment is expected before year-end, with a possible effective date of January 1, 2020. Due to the compressed timeframe, businesses with operations in Argentina and other stakeholders should assess the implications and carefully monitor the bill’s progress. An EY Tax Alert has details.
