Guatemala's Ministry of Economy announces new COVID-19 measures related to the transport of private company personnel

Companies authorized to continue operating during Guatemala's state of calamity must follow the Ministry of Economy's transportation procedures or they might have their vehicles confiscated.

On March 19, 2020, the Guatemala's Ministry of Economy announced new COVID-19 measures related to the transport of personnel that work for private companies. Under those measures, the Municipality of Guatemala City will confiscate buses or similar vehicles that transport personnel of private companies and do not: (i) identify the company's name in a visible place on the vehicle, and (ii) have all passengers on board, including the driver, wearing the company's uniform or badge.
