Panama's Ministry of Health temporarily suspends construction-related activities to mitigate the spread of COVID-19

Construction-related activities are suspended for 30 calendar days.

Because of the rapid spread of COVID-19 among the Panamanian citizens, Panama's Ministry of Health issued Executive Decree No. 506 of March 24, 2020, ordering the temporary suspension of construction-related activities, including all projects currently under development, except for those authorized by the health authorities. The suspension is in response to the state of national emergency declared by the Cabinet Ministers of Panama through Cabinet Resolution No. 11 of March 13, 2020.

The suspension will apply to activities related to the manufacturing and distribution of concrete, cement and its derivatives. The suspension went into effect on March 25, 2020, and will apply for 30 calendar days.
