IRS extends individual and business tax filing and payment deadline to October 15, 2020 for April 2020 storm victims in three southern states

The IRS has extended to October 15, 2020, certain upcoming individual and business tax filing and payment deadlines for the victims of April tornados, severe storms and flooding in Mississippi, Tennessee and South Carolina. If other localities are later added to the area designated by FEMA as qualifying for disaster relief, they will be listed on the IRS's disaster relief page and will be entitled to the same filing and payment extension.
