The IRS has issued guidance (Revenue Ruling 2020-19) with 10 fact patterns illustrating when a change in the basis of computing life insurance reserves does or does not occur under IRC Section 807(f), as amended by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. A Tax Alert on the revenue ruling is forthcoming.
