The United States Supreme Court heard oral arguments in California v. Texas on 10 November 2020, in which the petitioner argued that the ACA should be eliminated because of the increased administrative burden on the states. The WOTC and other tax extenders are set to expire on 31 December 2020, just before the transition of power from one administration to the next. Our Ernst & Young LLP professionals will also cover the potential impacts of the recent presidential election and the judicial and legislative landscape on these issues. We’ll discuss how your business can continue to effectively comply with the reporting requirements of the ACA and potentially benefit from the WOTC and other credits during this unprecedented time.
