IRS launches online option for tax professionals to obtain client signatures remotely and submit authorization forms electronically

The IRS has announced (IR-2021-20) a new online option, dubbed Submit Forms 2848 and 8821 Online, that will allow tax professionals to remotely obtain signatures from individual and business clients and electronically submit authorization forms. A Tax Alert is forthcoming.
