Biden transportation and human infrastructure tax increases laid out

What proposals can be enacted, and how, depends on Congress

President Biden has laid out tax increase proposals to fund the American Jobs Plan traditional roads & bridges infrastructure proposal — which was accompanied by the Made in America Tax Plan — and the American Families Plan "human infrastructure" proposal. Many of the proposals date back to the presidential campaign, though there are some new starters, and some ideas espoused during the campaign were not included with the transportation and human infrastructure packages. While more details on tax proposals will come in the Administration's FY2022 budget and bills will need to be written in Congress, the long-awaited rollout of the two-part plan is done and the President has put his cards on the table on tax increases.
