LB&I announces opening of application period for 2022 CAP program

The IRS’s Large Business and International division (LB&I) is accepting new applications for its Compliance Assurance Process (CAP) program for tax year 2022. The application period runs from September 1, 2021 to November 1, 2021. The IRS will notify applicants if they are accepted into the program in February 2022. In general, the modifications made to CAP for tax year 2021 remain in place for tax year 2022. A Tax Alert is forthcoming.
