IRS FIRE System will have new online application for new users on September 26, 2021

The IRS announced that it will introduce, beginning on September 26, 2021, a new online application on its website for new users that must transmit information returns and automatic extension requests to the IRS through the Filing Information Returns Electronically (FIRE) System. The new online application will replace Form 4419, Application for Filing Information Returns Electronically (FIRE). A Tax Alert is forthcoming.
