IRS further extends filing and payment deadlines for parts of Mississippi affected by Hurricane Ida

The IRS has announced (IR-2021-210) it is extending tax filing and payment deadlines until January 3, 2022, for victims of Hurricane Ida in parts of Mississippi. The IRS had previously extended September 15 and October 15, 2021 deadlines for the entire state until November 1, 2021. This new relief further extends the deadline to January 3 for individual and business tax returns and payments due from taxpayers in 19 counties named in an October 22 FEMA disaster declaration.
