IRS extends to January 3, 2022, filing and payment deadlines for all of Mississippi due to Hurricane Ida

The IRS has announced (IR-2021-230) that it is extending tax filing and payment deadlines until January 3, 2022, for the entire of Mississippi due to Hurricane Ida. The agency had previously extended September 15 and October 15, 2021 deadlines for the entire state until November 1, 2021. The IRS's disaster relief page maintains a current list of localities eligible for federal tax-related disaster relief.
