30 November 2021 Australia's international borders to begin reopening December 15 in order to reinvigorate skilled migration After nearly two years of tight restrictions, Australia's international borders were to begin to reopen from December 1 to welcome greater numbers of skilled migrants. In response to concerns over the Omicron variant of COVID-19, however, this reopening is delayed until December 15 and additional targeted restrictions have been imposed.
