IRS posts two FAQs addressing 2021 short-tax-year filing requirements for pass-through entities in light of not-yet-final forms

The IRS has added two new frequently asked questions (FAQs) on 2021 short-tax-year returns for pass-through entities and Schedules K-2 and K-3. The questions address whether and when Schedules K-2 and K-3 must be attached to 2021 short-year forms filed with the IRS, considering that some of the forms to which the schedules attach are not yet final.
