Brazil introduces new quarantine requirement for unvaccinated travelers, lifts prohibition on entry by land for fully vaccinated travelers

Effective immediately, the Brazilian Government recently announced that, inbound travelers who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 must quarantine for five days on arrival. In addition, individuals who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may now enter Brazil by land. Travelers are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if they received all of the required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine that was approved by Brazil's Health Regulatory Agency (Anvisa), the World Health Organization or the governments of the countries where the vaccine was administered, at least 14 days prior to travel to Brazil.
