China implements new, stricter pre-travel COVID-19 test requirements for inbound travelers

The Chinese authorities recently implemented new, stricter requirements for issuing health codes to China-bound travelers departing from multiple jurisdictions, including locations in Canada, Singapore and the United States.  In general, the changes include new, heightened COVID-19 testing and self-isolation requirements. Travelers are advised to confirm their specific requirements for entry into China with the Chinese Embassy or Consulate with jurisdiction over the location from which they will travel.
