Mexico suspends visa waivers for Brazilian and Venezuelan citizens

Citizens of Brazil and Venezuela must now obtain visitor visas prior to entering into Mexico as visitors. The Mexican Government recently suspended Brazilian and Venezuelan citizens’ eligibility to obtain visa waivers and enter into Mexico using only their valid national passports. Citizens of Venezuela who seek to enter Mexico as visitors (by air, land or sea) are now required to apply for and obtain a visitor visa from the Mexican Consulate with jurisdiction over their home country or place of residence. Citizens of Brazil who seek to enter into Mexico for business
or tourism, by land or sea, are similarly required to obtain a visitor visa from a Mexican Consulate prior to travel.
