Canadian immigration in 2022 discussed

The Government of Canada put forward its immigration levels plan for 2022 - 2024 on February 14.  The most notable aspect of the plan is that Canada will continue its very ambitious immigration plan to increase immigration, admitting upwards of 1.3 million new permanent residents by the end of 2024. While the targets are ambitious and record setting, there are currently significant processing backlogs, which could impact the Canadian Government’s ability to meet these targets and/or delay eligible applicants from applying for Canadian permanent residence status.
