Taiwan lifts transit ban, shortens quarantine period

The Taiwanese authorities recently lifted the ban on transit through Taiwan and reduced the mandatory quarantine period for eligible inbound travelers. Certain COVID-19 related measures remain in effect. All eligible entrants are still required to take a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) COVID-19 test no more than 48 hours before travel, and test negative, to gain admission. Travelers must continue to submit an online health declaration no more than 48 hours before arrival and undergo PCR COVID-19 testing on arrival.
