The IRS has published guidance (Notice 2022-31) addressing changes that the American Rescue Plan of 2021 made to the election of alternative minimum funding standards under IRC Section 430(m) for a defined benefit pension plan that is a community newspaper plan or another plan sponsored by an eligible newspaper plan sponsor.
